The Burqa is NOT a feminist statement

By dressing in the hijab or burqa Muslim women declare their belief in a religion that tells them they are inferior. Islam prescribes an inequality of the sexes in dress, in worship, in marriage, in life. While a Muslim woman may be exercising freedom of choice, she is still willingly submitting to a philosophy that accords her gender a lesser status and lesser rights. Thus, the burqa should never be called feminist.
