Jul 15 1205In a letter to the French clergy, Pope Innocent III declares that the Jews are consigned to continual subjugation just for crucifying our Lord and Savior. In the words of the Pope, the Jews "shall not dare raise their neck, bowed under the yoke of perpetual slavery."
